The application and justification of ‘a theory of considered perceptions’ in al-Mizan Commentary; a comparative analysis

Abstract
This article aims at studying the place of the theory of considered perceptions in al-Mizan Commentary. It illustrates how Allama Tabatabaei has made use of this theory in his al-Mizan and how he has used Quranic verses to analyze and justify it. The method is used in research include inductive, analytic and comparative methodologies. The article claims that the theory of considered perceptions constitutes the theoretical foundation of Allama Tabatbaei’s methodology in his al-Mizan. Allama uses this theory to interpret Quranic verses just as he uses Quranic verses to justify this theory. In his al-Mizan, he deals in detail with different kinds of considerations. This article indicates that it is necessary to study al-Mizan from the perspective of the theory of considered perceptions as the theoretical basis of Allama Tabatabaei’s [exegetic methodology]
