Abstract
Being one of the most influential Muslim philosophers, Farabi produced not only a coherent metaphysics but also a theory of divine rational society [an utopia] based on a human being connected to Allah (a real human being). In Farabi’s utopia, priority lies with human beings and that is why all social structures are based on obtaining rational divine knowledge about their existential dimensions. The principle of human supremacy on Farabi’s view does not imply a supremacy that is independent from his source of existence, not connected with it. According to Farabi the supremacy of human being is based on his rational faculty and that is the reason why his utopia is based on reason and revelation both in terms of ethics, laws, culture, knowledge and arts as well as in terms of defining the concepts of perfection and happiness. His aim is to lead man to happiness defined by a philosopher or a prophet through living an ordinary life in his utopia
