Abstract
Studying the similarities and dissimilarities of different sciences is a secondary discipline of knowledge that helps with the promotion and deepening of those sciences. One of these cases is the distinction between practical mysticism and the Islamic peripatetic ethics. This essay is written through a descriptive-analytic method comparing practical mysticism to the Islamic peripatetic ethics. The results suggest that the aim of practical mysticism is: bringing monotheists up, vision of God, mystical unveilings, annihilation in God, and that self-regard and selfishness are great faults in such course of conduct and wayfaring. In the Islamic peripatetic ethics, however, considering oneself at two levels of this world and the next is the main principle and the ultimate aim of ethical conduct is to achieve the hereafter and spiritual happiness. Other differences can be found at the end of the article .
